Bars on RKC

I have been reading all the posts about moving the bars for more comfort. I did the eyes closed check and the bars were about an inch to far forward. I know how to get the plastic disc off to expose the two screws but thats where I get stuck. The trim piece that runs along the top of the head light nacelle seems to be attached to the piece Im trying to take off. Do I need to take that trim off too? And if so, how the heck do you get to that tiny nut in the back??
I searched the self help forum but couldnt find anything about RKC's.

Take out the headlight, inside the nacell you will find 2 small nuts holding the trim piece on. I think the size wrench you need is 3/8", after the nuts are off gently work the trim up from the front and remove it. If youv'e removed the 2 screws under the forklock trim ring the clamp cover should come off.
