I have read where Baker has come out with a "fix" for the noisey whine in 5th gear that occurs on all 07 models with the 6-speed trans. Basicly they are removing the straight splined gear and replacing it with a heli cut one. Not sure why HD didn't do this from the beginning, as all the other gears (except 1st) are heli splined. To be honest this is not an issue for me. I have put over 2000 miles on my 07 Heritage and the "noise" doesn't bother me at all.
