I happen to have one that I was running before the conversion. When I installed the new stuff, I DID NOT swap out the OEM spring. But I am gonna do so the first time I have a chance to open up the nose cone to check the new style hydraulic tensioner shoes to see how they are doing. I will do that somewhere around 5K miles. I WOULD NOT open up the nose cone just to swap out the spring if you have done the conversion (with the new pump). If you have a reason to do so, great.
