Auxiliary Brake/Run/Turn signal Conversion kit

I am trying to install a Auxiliary Brake/Run/Turn signal Conversion Kit
number 69462-06C
If I read the instructions right with this kit. They tell you to have the fob present, turn the key switch to ignition, and then remove the main fuse.
(ok that's if you have a siren) Then remove the seat and install the module.
Why can't I just remove the seat and install the module.
Would some one please explain this. I don't know much about electrical
systems.

Guess you never experienced a hot-short on bike before...not fun. Unless you want to take a chance @ popping fuses & melting wiring - best to remove your main fuse. Should always be step-1 when working w/electrical on vehicles...

Iceman, Your right I never experienced any of those things.
I will differently pull the main fuse.
