What are the symptoms of the battery needing replaced?

For the hands free fob that I'm familiar with, low battery symptom are the signals flashing several times (two is normal) when ignition is turned on, or the starter button has to be pushed a couple of times for starter to engage.

I'm wondering if this is why my security light comes on briefly after I start the bike?

I recently had that on my bike. The security light stayed on the lights flashed a couple times. Changed the FOB battery and all is back to normal!

It's a good idea to replace yearly, if it goes out you could be stuck somewhere you don't want to be.

Don't know what years are being referenced but mine is a 2003.
