Hi Guys, I'm new to HD. Just got a 08 Road King Classic with about 1800mi on it. Oils (that I want) and filter are not readily available here in the Philippines and it takes a bit of time to get them from the US. My question is, is it ok to drain my oil, fill it up with a fresh one without changing filters temporarily until I get (about a month) all the stuff I want then change it again? My concern is that, I'm not sure if it has undergone a service maintenance at 1k and I want to use synthetic oil to help cool down engine a bit (ambient temp ranges from 80-90F). Available oil for the moment is the Castrol Racing 4T SAE 10W-40.
