Another update.
Got the cruise working.
Two things: I bypassed the harnesses& most connectors, and I replaced the module.
Bypassing the harnesses, I ran a separate wire from the speedometer reed switch output directly to the cruise module and the turn signal module (to replace the white/green). Still acted wonky.
Replaced the module- fixed. Working great.
I did not reconnect the audio system module wire, so the volume no longer adjust automatically for speed. Don’t care.
Over time, I lost track of whether my original module is bad or the one I got on eBay.
