I’m new to this not sure if I post this right.
I have a 52 panhead I bought and I took off cam cover to install new oil pump. In noticed that the pinion shaft didn’t have the screw in the end of the shaft. My question is : does it have to be in there and is there different pinions that will fit that motor? I looked at the manual and I ordered the screw that they say is supposed to go in the end of the shaft. The end of the shaft doesn’t look like the one in manual and the hole looks smaller than a 5/16-24 hole.
Any body help me on this?!!!
