2008 Ultra Vibration

I have a 2008 Ultra with about 5000 mi. Recently I installed a set of V&H Big Shot Duels. It seems like the vibration started on the test ride right after the install. Does anyone know if the new pipes could be causing this vibration or do I need to look for other issues?

i noticed the same thing on my 08 ultra as well and just figure its part of the price you pay when you change the bike (EDIT) i dont really know why either

I think that is the pipes causing the vibration and I wasn't to worried about it until I read the post about crankshaft run out on 96 Twin Cams.

Does the vibration frequency vary with engine RPM, or with bike speed? That will tell the story. You may have thrown a wheel balance weight.

The Vibration changes with the engine RPM. I thought about the wheel balance thing and have pulled in the clutch at different speeds to see if it is coming from the road but as the engine slows back to idle the vibration slows also even with bike maintaining close to the same speed.

How bad is this crank runout issue?

More noted in the 07 bikes but the tolerances have been tightened up a bit in the later years. Not to say it doesn't happen without a keyed or pinned crank.

Pressed, no key or pinned. El cheapo construction.
