2008 Clutch switch problem

Just installed chrome controls and they where missing the clutch switch. So I sorted the two switch wires together but I can't start the bike in gear (with clutch in) and the security light is lit up solid.

Or did I do something else wrong while I had the tank off?

Any help would be great.

You need the proper controls with the clutch switch for the bike to operate properly. The circuit has to make and break with the activation of the clutch handle in order for the system to work properly.No short cuts here with the wrong controls.

The other problem is the Clutch lever has a little spur so it will operate the switch where the chrome items with the kit don't have.

If you look it over closely, you may be able to drill the clutch perch to accommodate the switch and change the clutch handle to the new type.

Anybody know where I can find just a 2008 chrome clutch control for a good price.
