I want to change the seat on a 2007 883 low rider to a twin seat but ensure that I do not compromise the seat height or width. Any advice on which seats to look at or any web sites to look at?
There are a number of seat manufacturers that offer seats that will move you up, back, higher or lower, you can even have a seat altered to suit your tastes. You have to try these seats out at a dealer that stocks some choices. Here's a place that comes highly recommended for alterations. By 883 low rider I assume you are referring to the Sportster. I was reading in the HD literature (service manual if I recall correctly) that HD specifically recommends not riding two-up on the low. That was not something that the sales guy knew when I was purchasing my Sportster. I have an XL1200C which does just fine (with a Corbin dual touring saddle.)
This is true but i have my sporty very low and i ride two up at times... you have to be careful though cause it will bottom out on ya !
