OK folks, I'm at a loss and trying to keep the bike away from the dealership. The fuse to my rear running lights keeps going out when I least expect it. I'll think I've found something, replace the fuse, ride the bike all day and when I park it at night the lights still work. Get up the next morning, switch on the ignition, and no lights. #$@*!

Anyone heard of something similar or have any thoughts?

Is the bulb socket damp or rusty? This could cause a short when the Bike is started. I understand this dose not happen when you install the new one at first, the moisture can buld up and cause the short.

Been some problems with the wiring where it goes through the rear fender getting rubbed by the tire and causing a problem like this.
