2005 Ultra Classic Oil DipStick

Hi all,

I check the oil when the motor is hot. Most of the time the dipstick comes out fine but once in a while the aluminum cap pulls off the dipstick. I put it back on and so far it pulls the complete dipstick out. I am worried that sometime in the future it will keep doing that and not pull out the dipstick.

Has anyone had this problem. If so did you fix it. I thought about using some type of adhesive but am not sure how well it would bond to the rubber part of the dipstick.

This is not a big problem ... until I can't remove the dipstick.

I would go buy a new one before it sticks so bad you end up digging it out.
You can even get the one with the temperature reading.
