2003 night train handle bar question???

Hi to all!!!!!...I'm new to this forum and new to Harley's "finally save up enough pennies to buy one" Just wondering if you fine people could help me out???....I wanted to change my stock 6" rise drag handle bars to 8" rise...my question is with the two inch diffrence would I have to buy longer cables or are the stock ones long enough...Thanks:s

You're usually OK for about a 2 " height extension using the stock cables. Sometimes you have to modify the solid line on the brake line at the cylinder by straightening it out a bit.
