Bike would not start just spinning. Repaired the solenoid with a rebuild kit. (old solenoid shot) Bike started right up. Shut it down rolled out of the garage to go for a ride. Bam hit the starter button and nothing but spinning again. Waited a few min and it started. Tried starting it off and on over a period of an hour and it was hit and miss. Than finally it just started spinning again.
Could the starter gear be bad? Could the jack shaft be slightly bent or the jack shaft bolt? The pinon gear looks ok and clutch drive grear a little wear but very little.
