I lived an isolate life 15 years in asia, where lady luck rode with me across Vietnam. So many times I drug the frame through mud and slush, and that pebble never fell onto the belt. I had bought an extra belt just to prepare for that, but never used it till I got back.
I did shred a primary belt once; on my panhead. Pulled out to pass a truck on a Florida interstate. I twisted the throttle into the face of a strong wind and pieces of rubber flew all around. LOL
