1979 xlch will not fire.

    need help on this bike.how to check to see why it wil not start up.it just died when i was moving it.all lights went out.and then nothing.no clicking.i changed the ground wire.and got lights back up......now what.and how to wire a new toggle starter wire.:guitar

    Try cleaning both the battery terminals and cable ends with a wire brush and replacing them.
