Ive a 1340, 1993 evo engine complete. With Jim's lifters and lifter blocks and an andrews cam. Runs strong. 48,000 originals miles on it. Wondering what kind of price range an engine like this is worth?

As a pure WAG, I would say 1,000-1,250.

Nah, thats way too cheap. For that price I'll keep it.

That's what I would do. If you sink about a grand of stuff into rebuilding the engine with your own labor (except for those things you may want done by a shop), then the rebuilt might draw around 2,100-2,300. But for a grand, then YOU have a spare engine sitting in your garage "just in case". Can't buy a rebuilt EVO engine for a grand!!

Remember you are competing against the HD Reman program which returns a completely factory rebuilt and updated engine for 2,500-2,700 depending on the EVO. Of course there is also some dealer costs. So you have to weigh what you can compete with.

TQ
