'09 sportie primary adjustment

I'm working on an '09 sportie engine and went to adjust the primary chain. Lossened the 7/8 nut and went to pust the 1/4 allen into the hole and----no hex head in the bolt. Did something change on the '09's that I am not aware of?

Check your owners manual and see. Mine is an '04 and had the instructions on checking the adjustment...can it be possible MOCO finally added an "automatic tensioner" like most of the other models? Sorry, but the Sportster seems to always be the last model to get the "touring/bagger" good stuff.
 
I found the problem. It had a piece of gravel and some dirt that blended perfectly with the bolt and made it look solid. Cleaned it out and adjusted the primary. duh!!!
