I ordered a chrome brake pedal cover for my '04 Heritage .
Both the HD web site and the box the part came in said it
would fit my year and model bike but the instruction insert
says this kit ( #42478-95 ) is for 1986-1996 FLSTC ????
The part I received has a bolt, two flat washers, and an acorn
nut. The stock brake pedal cover has no bolt and seems to
simply be a rubber cover slipped over the pedal. So the
questions are :
1) Can the stock rubber cover be removed without damage
and replaced if the new chrome pad won't fit ?
2) Is there a hole in the stock plate that is covered by the
existing rubber cover or would a hole have to be drilled
to mount the bolt on the new chome cover ?
I did try several searches for info on this and could find no
post or threads. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
