just wondering what most everybody else is running

I got HD in there now but will be going to champion

Use regular HD (actually they had "gold colored" version) for $4.95 just to see if it was more resistant to corrosion...not really sure, but the gold lustre is gone (no corrosion though). Checked them and they are still running clean.

I tried those expensive plugs. Everything was fine till the carb acted up and plugs got fouled.

$40 later and some good advise from Glider and the boys I went back to the cheaper HD plugs and never looked back.

Harley Davidson Plugs for me. I have had others, but just keep it HD and you won't have to worry.

like i said i've been running autolites for 10k no pings
witch plugs have people been using when getting this "ping"

Champion for me. A few years ago my mechanic got a box of plugs along with some other supplies from the HD dealership and when he got back to his shop the parts manager from the dealership had called him and told him he needed for my mechanic to return the box of plugs because they were "defective". My mechanic open the box to see what could be wrong and discovered that the plugs had HD printed on one side of the plug and Champion on the other, oops.

How is that the ecm will retard timing if there is pinging in the engine-
by the ion sensing with H D SPARK PLUGS ? and not with other brand.
