Mobil 1 20w50 V-Twin or Amsoil in all 3 holes. No muss no fuss and it works great with zero issues and maximum protection!!

Amsoil 20-50 in motor and primary with Amsoil Extreme-Gear in the tranny.

On the recommendation of the HD service department, I put Formula + in my transmission about 500 miles ago at the initial 1000 mile service. This is my first HD so I'm in full learning mode. The bike is a 2013 FLHTK AE. Based on my reading the preferred transmission oiled is the Spectro 6 Speed 75/140.

Should I drain the Formula + from the transmission and switch it to the Spectro or let it ride until the 5000 mile mark? Thanks for your assistance!

let it ride ! alot of old timers actually like the Formula+ better than other oils.....

After the break in on my reman I am now running Castrol 20/50 4 T, better price plus after talking with a H D rep him saying it is a better oil LOL I also have a H D tech friend that has run this oil for years

Mobil 1 V Twin is what I've used in the past but if not going for synthetic a good name brand quality oil is a good choice like the HD360.

I have been using lucas 20w50 in primary and engine and their gearlube in the tranny seemed to work real good last 35,000 miles

I use whatever 20w50 is on sale. I think last time Advanced was having a sale on valvoline and a filter.
