I recently installed a yost power tube in a friends S&S shorty E. The kit he had didnt come with any jets. My question is do you generally have to go up or down in size? It has a 70 main in it now

I just bought a new E Shorty for my Evolution. The carb comes with a 295 jet for low RPM and a #72 main. I put a #70 in the new one as the old carb had that main jet for eleven years. All that time I never had a single problem with that S&S E.
