The wiring harness connecting the voltage regulator on my 2005 Sportster Roadster came apart. I have tried to reconnect the wires and cannot figure it out. While having the bike inspected (PA thing every year) I asked the mechanic to look at it but apparently he did not. My bike lost power an cut out part way through a ride, probably because the voltage regulator wasn't doing its job.
Does anyone have a clue how the wires attach into the harness for this. It appears to be two wires with connectors. It goes into a plastic harness attached to a bracket between the down tubes. But when i shove the wires into the harness, it doesn't connect to anything.
