wont start

Have you checked your battery voltage? Or checked the main fuze?

Just from what you said : backfired

It may have jammed the starters clutch drive gear and shaft to the big clutch ring gear... Keeping it from turning over...

Put it into 3rd gear and rock the bike forward and back to see if that will let the clutch-starter-drive loosen its grip...(moving engine to loosen the drive)

it tried to start, now wont even engage the starter so i think it is maybe electrical dont think it is the starter, it just buzzes i and makes some clicking noises but the starter does nothing
 
checked terminols and cleaned batrtery has 12.6 volts lights are dim dash light are flickering and one of the relays under seat is buzzing starter not engaging could it be the starter relay?
 
From what you describe, it sounds like either a bad battery or a bad ground return to the battery if you cleaned all the terminals properly. Dont overlook a bad cable too.
 
glider you were right the battery had a come apart fit inside and had low voltage new battery and im good to go Again thanks for all you guys help....
