Wind Deflector Kit for Road Glide

I just bought the HD Wind Deflector Kit for my 2009 Road Glide. They don't fit! They are suppose to snap over the crash bar and over the gas tank mount. They won't fit over the gas tank mount. Any of you Road Glide owners tried these deflectors?
 
Didn't the 09s have a recall on the tank mounting bolts? If so you will have to slightly modify the ears to fit. Other than that it should fit. The ones I installed on my 11 fit perfectly.
 
Part No. is 57000063. FLTR Updraft Deflectors. Fits '98 and later FLTR Models.

Exactly, Redfish, the ears that snap over the tank mount aren't big enough.

Type "Road Glide wind deflector" in the search box at top right. There's been several threads about them. I didn't read them to find the solution.

I believe some guys have removed the lower ears and they fit fine then. But as added security the also zip tied it to the highway bars.
