will a set of shocks of 2009 sportster work on my 01 electra-glide classic they are 12" eye to eye.i have lowering kit on it but would like reg. shocks and not have to mess with air. what do you think ? thanks all!!!

Marty, likely not, the valving and preload spring are not setup for the additional weight, preload and rebound dampening for the additional weight and loading the larger bike requires. Might also check the bolt hardware matches...

I doubt it. The '09 Sportster (1200 Custom) weighs in at 589 lbs. The '09 EGC is 864 lbs. Your '01 is probably a little lighter, but not almost 300 lbs. lighter! So it is very unlikely that a shock for the Sportster will work on the EGC.
