Will 1999 Fatboy parts fit a 1998?

I'm a new owner of a 1998 Fatboy. It has forward controls. I need to move the controls, putting them back to stock with floor boards.

Will parts for a 1999 fit the 1998? I have an option to pick up a set on eBay.

Probably. The trick is to get the P/N of the parts in question and then go to a HD Dealership site and look those P/Ns up and see if they cover the '98.

some will some wont 97-98-99-2k were swapping years lots of parts will change but some wont

i was under the impression that 97 and 98 every thing can swap. but 99 changed and will not swap with 98
