Whats the Difference between 1200 custome and 1200 xl

I just pick up my first Harley and its a 00 1200 custome. Whats the difference between 1200 custome and 1200 xl? I am new to the Harley world so I am as green as they come.

As he is on a solid mount sportster the fuel tank is not larger but has a different seat forward controls and a 21" front wheel

larger fuel tank is on the rubber mount custom

I wish that I could tell you guys how it rides but saving money for down payment on insurance as well as parts.

The longer it takes and the harder it is to get to all make that first ride really something special
