What kinda fittings are these anyway??

Long to short... I need to put a proportioning valve on my sidecar disc as she grabs way too much disc when applying the rear foot brake sending me off the road. I bought a valve from JEGS and the treads don't match the brake connections on the brake:small3d031: lines It is an AN3 tread I believe on the valve. 2001 RKC with Liberty sidecar. Does anyone know if this is metric or something different on Harley brake line connections?

An auto parts store should have any adapters you'll need to make it work. I've run into that issue many times on cars!! Bring the proportioning valve in with you.

I did that, bujt neither NAPA nor a break specialist nor a guy that does hydralic systems could hook me up. I brought the valve and line and no one had an adapter...that is why I wondered what weird thing it was like metric thread or something on the lines. I hate to buy all new line as it is long and would run quite a lot of $$$

The JEGS fittings hook up to NPT. It is the Harley (i guess) fittings that are giving me the prob.

It turned out no one knew these fittings. I took them to 3 NAPA's , Carquest, A bike shop where the guy has been doing bikes for 25 years, and a hydraulic specialist. Weird....

I finally ended up going to J&P Cycles and bought all new lines and fittings.
