waddles like a duck at idle speed

I recently acquired a 2007 XL1200 w/efi (approx 12k). Starts well and skoots along with good thrust, however at idle throttle it waddles like a duck, (meaning it surges along, even when the engine is warmed up. I have a 2006 Dyna carburated and it will maintain smooth idle speed when warm. Using good fresh fuel.... any ideas????:small3d029:

Did you make any changes? intake or exhaust? How long has it acted up, did it start after a fill up? maybe injector cleaner?

FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD AND IT LOOKS LIKE FACTORY EXHAUST. / I WILL TRY THE INJECTOR CLEANER AND SEE HOW THAT GOES....THANKS FOR THE MEMO...:bigsmiley11:

Could be the rather "infamous" pin holes in the intank fuel line hoses...check this out:
