voltage draw

how much voltage should be between battery cable and battery terminal?have had battery lose powere after a few days of sitting. just replaced battery is charging 14.4 volts at idle.

They will lose a little power while setting that's why most use a battery tender when not riding.

It's not voltage draw while sitting idle, it's amperage. Radios, security systems, etc. draw a small amount all the time. You need to measure the amperage between the disconnected positive cable and positive post. It takes a few minutes for the security and ECM to go to sleep. The draw should be under 10mA, 5 or 6 mA is ideal.
