Very strange directional problem

2001 RKC with sidecar...sidecar brake and turn signals on right signal.
headlight modulator

Some time ago I noticed the left directional would blink 3 times normally and then start going faster than normal. If I am moving it will sometimes cancel the blinker even going straight after about 10 blinks. This does not happen stopped. The malfunction does not happen all the time but quite often

No TSM/codes are indicated, and both rear and front directionals are working equally,both left and right. Bulbs are not LED.

Don't quite know where to start.

. Did all that already. Someone did mention in those posts they developed a problem after putting on a tailight modulator so, I am wondering if it is tied to the headlight modulator being installed. going to do a test....

Yep, when I cover the sensor to the headlight modulator they work correctly... which I don't get as the modulator is tied to the horn and headlight only. So does this indicate I need a load equalizer or heavier flasher relay?
