Ultra amp reloacate help

I've just installed the Kuryakyn tour pak relocator on my 04 ultra. I knew that the amp would have to be moved but we needed the extra room. The amp was mounted under tourpak. Now the problem is deciding on where to mount the amp. I don't mind putting it in the trunk pak but it'll take a large hole to get the plug through. Just wanted to get your thoughts on how you would do it?
Amp is Harley and connector is 23 pin.

In the trunk may seen like a good place but the amp needs to be able to cool off.
A friend put his in ths trunk and had enough problems that he ended up removing it.
