Hey guys,
I have an 86 sportster 1100 I bought last year. The guy that owned it before me peiced it together to his liking. Which means... no turn signals and no wiring left for them either.
I got some new signals and hard wired them like this
Battery --> Thermal Flasher --> Switches --> signals --> ground.
Ive never worked on electrical before but in my mind it sounded like it would work ok. The signals all work fine (even when the key isnt in the bike)
My question is... With the way i hooked these up (just a crude hardwiring), are there any possible problems I will have with perhaps the battery draining or the signals getting overloaded or anything????
Thanks guys, Im awaiting the answers from the pros.
