This years ABATE of Tulsa"s 30th Annual Tulsa Toy Run was incredible. It benefits the USMC Toys for Tots program and a local children's shelter. 6000 bikes showed up, most were 2 up. The Tulsa PD did an excellent job with traffic control. Last year 4000 riders completely filled two semi trailers with toys. Hopefully we filled 3 or 4 trailers today. The temp reached 61 deg and the sun was shining. The route was about 8 or 10 miles through town and ended at a local casino, where we filled a six story parking garage with motorcycles. The sound was deafening. I bet you could here it miles away.
Everybody involved in planning and coordinating today's events deserves a big pat on the back. Especially the USMC and their toys for tots program, which in 62 years has given out 400 million toys to 188 million children. Good job Abate of Tulsa and also to all those that showed up to make xmas a little brighter for those less fortunate than ourselves.

great to here of such a showing for the toys for tots, I was unable to go this year but I know it had to be a blast, great day to ride to. Did you happen to see many bikes burn their clutches or motors up? I know that it has happened in the past, I know some people who won't ride in it because they have unfortunately experienced it.

Great job in Tulsa, we in Dallas are set for Sunday Dec 20 hopefully the weather will be nice the last two years its been the coldest day of the season it seems.

Great ride today. Great job by the TPD closing the streets for us. Lots of fun with everyone lining the streets along the route. Some old woman in a wheelchair gave me a handful of beads and a merry christmas. I was in parade mode throwing them back at the kids.
I've never seen so many toys in one place in my life. Just an awesome turnout.
