TSSM Programming Question

I have been told that if you change the TSSM module you need to reprogram it to your bike.
Can this be done by the end user, or is it a dealer only thing?
Also, can you use an '07 later TSSM with the hands-free fob on an earlier bike (that used the clicker fob) simply by reprogramming it to the bike, or are there other considerations that prevent this?

You can do it, but your timing has to be perfect. If you search 'TSSM', you will find lots of threads on it.
