i was told that/ mobil 1 racing 4t 10/w40 would work in my 1998 dyno wide glide tranny
You may try that in your primary, tho it may be too slippery IMO for it, best off IMO to check the tranny oil polls and make an informed choice, your ride you decide http://www.hdtimeline.com/archive/t-49632.html
:ws From Colorado. Good advice, read the oil polls and decide from there.
anything would work, but there are some lubricants that work much better than others for each specific purpose.
It is just preference but the moco stuff isnt that much difference in price and you know it is specifically for your hd
redline heavy shockproof in trans. can't beat it.
NO :55: Lying in the above Post...........
Use it on all my TC bikes and Never a tranny problem to date... Never ever any metal on the drain plug... NEVER...
IF you want to use a lighter than the Heavy, Light weight ShockProof is there to use in the COOL climates. Here In Az. I only recommend the Heavy.
BIGGEST thing I suggest is use "GEAR OIL"
It IS designed to take the constant Chewing up of the lube molecules....
(especially Redline Shockproof Heavy)
