Transmission dipstick

I've been having trouble seeing the oil level on my transmission dipstick. The clean oil is hard to see on the chrome dipstick. I bought a new dipstick with a knob on top so that I no longer need a wrench to check the level. I carried it over and had part of it cerakoted black. Now I can see the level just fine. All transmission dipsticks should be black IMHO. I didn't have the threads covered.

Thanks, it makes seeing the oil level so much better. I am happy with it. I don't know why all of them aren't black from the factory.

Looks good, I used a black sharpie on a non chromed dip stick and colored over the end a few times, it made a world of difference.
These old eyes aren't what they use to be.

It makes it a lot easier to see, and to identify any possible leaks.

I've been running Red Line in my tranny for the last 5 years and couldn't be happier.
Blue Wide Glide makes a good point, there's no mistaking if you have a leak with the pink color.
I also like the fact that it coats and sticks to the gears and moving parts.
