tranny oil did i scew up?

went down to the parts house to pick up some 75/90 mobil 1 gear oil
by mistake i picked up 75/140 mobil 1 gear oil
guess when i noticed what i had done......yup after $18 worth of 85/140 was in my tranny lol think i should drain it and replace it with 75/90?

I have been running M1 75-140 for over 2 years with no problems makes shifting and noise almost go away

No,the 75/140 gear oil is what you should run in your trans but the general concensus on this forum is that Spectro is a better choice of oil.

just got back from a ride to get the fluids hot.....tranny does shift very smooth!....how often do u guys change your tranny oil?i been doing it every oil change(2000k)i'm pretty sure i could get more outa the tranny oil but i don't chance it lol

Either weight will work good. It depends on your riding temps which one you would be better off with.

I changed my trans with the engine and primary oils at 2500 but you can easily go to 5K on the trans oil. I like overkill in these areas.
