TC88 Camshaft Problems

Has anyone had the issue of where the camshaft goes into the support plate wearing down (see top of camshaft on right side of photo)? The dealer stated this was due to the factory not heat treating the camshaft. Nothing but 20-50w AMSOIL has ever been in this bike, change the oil every 5,000 miles. 30,500 miles on engine when it started making all sorts of noise.

I've seen that before and the dealer is correct in what he said.
