06- 883 sportster,speedometer stuck on 10 mph-odometer doesn't read

Hi _ I have an 07 883L and have noticed my speedo sticking a little as well. Upon closer inspection, the black background material on the speedo appears to have warped a bit - likely from heat

Is your needle binding on the backing material ?

So far mine isn't permanently stuck - it binds occasionally - not sure what I'll do if/when it binds up completely

I know that the touring bikes use a speed sensor mounted by the trans top cover to operate the speedo. sometimes they collect metalic material just like a magnet and it effects the operation. We remove the sensor with a 3/16 allen and clean it off to fix. For what its worth, hope it helps.
