Stage 1 air kit installation '09 Road King

Going to gather up some parts and install a Screaming Eagle Stage 1 kit on an '09 Road King. The old induction bracket behing the air cleaner backplate has to come off, but I would like to actually avoid totally removing the tank to get to the two fastners. It looks like there is enough gas line and wire to just unbolt the tank and lift it a couple of inches and then over a couple to get to the bracket off. Has anyone done it like this or should I just bite the big one and take the tank off all the way?:newsmile07:
I am a fan of keeping it simple....

Just remove the front and rear bolts BUT don't try to lift it too high or you break the fuel line fitting ($40) About 2" in the rear should do it. No need to totally remove it.
