sportster rim question

2008 heritage softail rims,will they work on a 05 sportster? they are 16x3

they should. well, you have to widen your front end to accept the 16" wheel. the rear wheel on your sporty should already be a 16 also so i don't see why they wouldn't fit, maybe some slight modifications but doable.

The back wheel will probably fit but the bearings and axle size are different I think. Bearings can be changed, tho... Think the front one is much too wide to fit ur Sporty. Bearing/axle different too...I think.

I think you will be okay, the axles went to the larger diameter in 2005, the bearing changed to accomodate them in the wheels. The rims on the "standard" custom and roadster models did not change, except for the new Super Low which has new rims and radial tires ).
