Sportster fender on 81 Shovel

I have been eyeballing the fender on my 2006 Sportster and was wondering if it would fit on my 81 shovel (with some mod ). I want to bob the fender but my shovel still has the original paint job and I do not want to mess with it. And I can get an accident damaged sporty fender for cheap.

If they are both "narrow glides", yes. If the '81 is a wide glide, no.

Measure the width of the fenders,you can "stretch" almost an inch but squeezing might put edges to close to tire. I am assuming since you're talking bobbing it's a rear fender.
