speedometer backlight on 03 rk

was wondering how easy it it to change the backlight on the speedometer of my 03 rk was thinking of putting a led of a different color and didn't know if taking it apart was easy or what bulb is in there now.any input would be helpful:11:

I know it's possible but really don't know what's involved other than removing the compressed ring on the speedo. It's a bit tricky to remove it and get it back on so it looks right and as far as a replacement, I think that light is a unit in there and not just a bulb.

you're rite the speedo is a enclosed unit can't get to bulb all sealed.the speedo comes out as a one peice unit the dealer said no way to get to bulb.hope it lasts the bikes life.or ya have to buy a new speedo unit at high end money and also have the thing recalaibrated to the mileage.:bigsmiley19:
