Can I use front speakers with resistance (impendanсe) of 4 Ohm? Native speakers have resistance 8 Ohm. Does tuner of FLHTCI allows to use 4 Ohm speakers too? Can't find specification of this tuner.

There has been considerable discussion of this issue here on the site. Some folks warn of damage to the system if a different impedance is used. I installed a set (four) new Pioneer speakers (Walmart.com: Pioneer 5.25" 2-way Speakers, TS-G1342R: Auto Electronics) several years ago. Great sound. Much improvement over the OEM speakers. These speakers are 4 ohm.

Thanks. As I know there is a protection against an overheat in radio and the back amplifier. There should not be nothing serious as it seems to me.
How long and on what loudness usually work your speackers?
