Hello everyone,
I have sparks going from my exhaust pipe and my floorboard on my 2000 Ultra Classic...does anybody have any idea what is causing this? I just put in a new stator and v/r....but it was doing this before I changed them also! Thanks in advance.

They look like little, fine electrical sparks coming off the exhaust pipe.

The main negative cable off the battery?

In 2000 some of the bikes came from the factory without a star washer where the ground cable bolts to the starter mount bolt, the rubber mount engine will try to ground to the frame anyway it can, I would check there first.
 
On my Sporty there is a ground strap braid w/ two eyelets that bolt between the engine and the frame near the motor mount. Like Chopper says, you may want to check how the swing arm is grounded to the frame and engine. Doesn't hurt to add ground staps between engine and frame/swingarm/fork as the actual grounding is kinda tricky with rubber insulated motor mounts.
 
Thanks for the info Chopper....I will check for the star washers. I will also see about checking for grounding strapps. Thanks for all the help everyone!!!
