Spark color

When I remove my sparks I note a different color with the front cylinder spark and the rear. The front cylinder spark is more dark than the rear. I think that it is the "cross over" reason. The rear cylinder exaust on Touring model drain off the gas more freely than the front cylinder exaust. The result is rear cylinder is more poor than the front. Thank you for your answers. :small3d028:

Usually the rear plug will be darker than the front opposite what you said above. I would do a compression test and see if there is a problem with the front cylinder because of the darker plug color.

Thank you.

Ok for the compression test. :s
But my oil level is stable and no smoke...

I think that it is a possible ignition problem...

Check the resistance in the plug wires or replace them if they are older. I would stay with the stock brand so you don't set any codes.

Ok, thank you

I phone to the HD seller today.

Not in stock at HD seller :(

I have intalled a universal Accel kit this morning.

The engine run gently.

In a few minutes I go to remove the sparks to control color.

Lift up the tank a bit after removing the mount bolts for it.

Yes I have removed the 3 bolts to lift the tank.

But to install correctly the wires it is easy if you have little hands :newsmile100:

In France we say that you can have "fingers fairy".
