Saw this old thead and noticed no response...and I do not have much experience with this mod/upgrade, but see no major breakpoints in designs except 2004 up to 2006, so 2003 down to 1989 not many changes chassis/wheel wise, so I would imagine it would fit.
Only real way to tell is compare measurements and keeping track of spacer locations, bearing fitment and the centering of the rear caliper/disc brake while checking sprocket alignment and clearance all around the wheels.
